We hit a few yard sales over the Labor Day weekend. Here's what we found:
- A bread slicer for $2 (my wife swears that she can't cut a good piece of bread from a loaf).
- A quart of oil for 50 cents (one guy beat me to six others by about a minute).
- A bunch of fabric, cording, and other crafty stuff for about $9 (easily $50 retail).
- A whole basket of cables, extension cords, and other electrical connectors for $15. There were a number of RCA connectors, a couple of old skillet temperature control cables, some USB cables, and some coax cables. Any one of these could cost $10 or more new, and the basket had about 40 cables in it. I just had to de-tangle them. (Never cut what can be untied.)
- A few Indigo Girls CDs for a buck each.
- About 100 pitcure frames, small oil paintings, and dinosaur stamp prints for $17. These were all new in box. I'm auctioning some of these off now. 😉
Did you have any good finds this weekend?
While at yard sales a while back we came across an old slate cased mantel clock. We only paid five bucks for it and have since found out it is worth anywhere from 150-500…Great find since we love clocks.
It sounds very interesting of yard sales. if i were there i would take those pitcure frames..:)
