What if there's another way to succeed as a creator? How would I pull it off?

I have a bit of a hoarding problem with my side hustles.

I have accumulated a lot of different kinds of online assets, and relationships with clients:

  • Several websites spanning personal finance, online presence, coin collecting, making money online, and weight loss
  • A number of domains
  • 130+ stories on Medium
  • Followings on several social media sites
  • Two YouTube channels, neither of which is monetized yet
  • Pinterest boards
  • Several Facebook groups, one with nearly 23k members
  • A mailing list of 300 wonderful subscribers
  • Two newsletters (one daily, one weekly)
  • A website design and maintenance client
  • A reselling presence on eBay
  • Accounts with sporadic affiliate or referral income
  • And a piano student with leads on others

What do I do with THAT?

There are three main options if you find yourself with a hoard of side hustles like me that currently don't work together.

The first option is to do nothing. With this option, you get to watch things wither on the vine. You feel a lot of guilt. It drags down your psyche. I know this from personal experience.

The section option is to let some things drop. This helps to put things a little better into focus because fewer irons are in the fire. You can dedicate more thought and attention to the ones that remain.

The third way has appeal

The third option is to reject the idea of niching down or getting rid of assets.

This involves taking stock of what you have and try to make them all work together. This has the potential to make the collection larger than the sum of its parts.

Individual instruments become an orchestra, and I'm the conductor.

One thing I'm sure about is that this won't happen on its own.

I can see at least three things needed to pull it off:

1. Calls to action from everything

Every asset should include a call to action to something else.

This will take a lot of editing of my existing assets, and a lot of strategy.

2. Niche-specific products

I can see a place for smaller products, like ebooks or even small courses that center around, say, YouTube, or Medium.

It's not the whole deal, of course, because I have other parts with different audiences.

3. An all-encompassing offer

This is the final boss to conquer.

This would involve tying every separate area of my online efforts toward a single offer. That takes some creativity and crafting.
