I love receiving free gift cards. Whether it's something utilitarian like a WalMart gift card or something a little more yuppie like a Starbucks card, they're handy.
Free gift cards from Swagbucks
Swagbucks is a site I've used for quite a while, and it's just plain fun.
The site itself is colorful with lots of neat graphics, and there are lots of ways to earn points called SB that can be redeemed for free gift cards.
You earn SB for searching the web, watching videos, and so forth. The SB come into your life at random times with the web search. You might search a few times and earn nothing, and then the next search you earn 10 SB or even more. (One thing I have found is that I win my first time each day after only a couple of searches. That may change, but that's how it's working for me now.)
The easy points are through things like the daily polls. Answer one question, and you get 1 SB.
Or, you can earn SB by shopping at hundreds of merchants. Just click through the links on Swagbucks.com and shop as you normally do. This should trigger SB in your account.
To date, I've earned $490 in Amazon gift codes through Swagbucks. Like I said: this is a fun site and they don't take themselves seriously at all. But the gift cards are seriously rewarding!
Free gift cards from MyPoints
I love MyPoints. They've been very good to me for well over a decade. They've delivered every gift card I've redeemed quickly ($300 worth!)
I've talked about MyPoints quite a bit but the main ways to earn points are (1) reading e-mails, (2) completing surveys, and (3) purchasing at online merchants through their site. (These opportunities come in the e-mails.)
The nice thing, though, as I mentioned before, is that you can just read the e-mails and earn points! They also have opportunities to earn points for shopping on eBay, which lets you hunt for bargains and get something back in addition.
There is a wide range of stores you can purchase from for points. Occasionally there will be bonus offers that trigger points for in-store purchases. I got an extra 2,000 points buying some video equipment at Best Buy this way.
I highly recommend that you join MyPoints!
So, there you go. I use these sites frequently, and it's not really doing anything outside of what I'd normally be doing while working on the computer: reading some quick e-mails and searching the web. I just do these things and get free gift cards. Cool, huh?
Seems like a lot of wasted time to get a $5 Starbucks gift card for some burned coffee… Either way, all of these rely on you trying to sell them to your friends and family which I find pretty disgusting. What is even more disgusting, is that you do not reveal that the links you provided for all three are your referral links. This is my first and the last time visiting your website. kthxbye
Dima: I know I'm feeding a troll here, but I need to clear this up, even if you're not around to read it.
Yes, they're referral links. I do get a (very small) benefit if you sign up through a link to websites that I use myself and that I genuinely recommend. If you find that disgusting, I'm sorry.
Secondly, sure, referring people helps speed things along, but it's not a necessity by any means. Using the services as they're intended to be used is enough to get rewards. You don't have to pedal them to your friends and family. But if you like them and use them and see the benefit from them, why wouldn't you?
Wow you're a miserable ass!! What are you on this website for if you can't handle a referral link? I've been a member of MyPoints for years and have NO referrals & I have received numerous gift cards. So no, they do not rely on you "selling them to family and friends" What's disgusting is that your life must be so miserable, you have nothing better to do with your time than be disgusted by a referral link? If that's your biggest problem-LUCKY YOU. If it's not, figure out what is and go bark at that issue.
I’m pretty upset with Walmart because they want you to fill a survey out and I have and they still wont give me a $1000 gift card and they have done this to me a few times and I fill the survey out like at least 5-6 times. Still no card. Also they tried to steal my information for my debt card just to receive a $200 voucher to there store. They are not honest at all when it comes to getting a gift card. I’m pretty angry about the whole situation.
amber: That doesn’t make sense. I can think of a couple of possibilities. First, you might be able to win a $1000 gift card if you filled out the survey. Second, it could be part of a “deal site” that requires a bunch of trial sign-ups and the like, in addition to the survey. Third, it could just be an outright scam. But I can’t see Walmart offering $1,000 for filling out a survey.
well i always get free gift cards
Don’t forget Free Ride: http://www.freeride.com
Memolink: http://www.memolink.com
AND
Gather: http://tru24rm.gather.com/joinme.action
FreeRide & Memolink are kinda like MyPoints, Gather gives points for posting content and/or commenting on others’ content.
You are right. Walmart offers a CHANCE to win a $1000 gift card to do surveys about your visit. It’s ridiculous for anybody to believe they will receive $1000 for a survey!! It would be nice, huh?
You should check out BING! haha, the easiest way to get gift cards in my opinion… way better than swagbucks
Will need to check that out. Thanks for the tip!
I joined bing and find it hard to get points… i’m glad it works for someone but I actually do much better on Swagbucks and GiftHulk
If you have their home page just click on each one of the top news searches, that scroll side to side. I do that daily and make my 15 points every day.
john good job always nice to see others sharing what they learn.ive also been a member of swagbucks for abut a year now, awesome site.do a few surveys watch videos and i earn on average 50 bux for a walmart gift card a month.bing is ok you do searches and they give points not many gift cards as of yet but a few nice prizes.other sites you make like to try are… zoombucks.com and gifthulk.com i have made a few bux to my paypal from both these sites a bit like swagbucks with surveys and videos but they work.spend most my time on swagbucks thou.good luck
I love getting free gift cards in fact I just cashed out at Mypoints today for a free subway $10 gift card. I love the thought that I can have a break every so often and enjoy myself while the kids are in school, and this way I am getting it free. I also do Bing rewards. I like them but not as much as Mypoints I am going to try memo link and the others, and hope that I can make a few extra points and gift cards for next Christmas. Bing though I think is a bit wrong because you can only make 15 points a day. And the rewards you get are kind of cheap really. $5 of Domino pizza?? Shoot we spend about $40 for our family of 5, on a domino’s order so it really isn’t worth it. But at least I keep an extra $5 in my pocket, but still $5, why not $10 or $20?? I would rather save up all of my points there and cash it in on a $20 card any day. A few years ago I saved up enough points at Mypoints for my husband to get a $50 gift card at home depot. He loved it so much.
Thanks for commenting, Hilda!
You’re not the first person to mention Bing Rewards. That’s not one I’ve used much at all.
I do like MyPoints as well. My favorite gift card to get is a $25 Starbucks card (for my wife). I’ve never had the patience needed to get the $50 one, though! 🙂
